I love the hunt for cool stuff and the small shops that just might hold a treasure. Part of the fun is the browsing, the first sight of a really awesome piece hidden in a hodgepodge of miscellaneous items. Vintage is a passion of mine, as I am not a fan of the more modern, less quality of a lot today.
This is a pictorial and verbal journey of my finds in out of the way little places tucked in suburbia.
I found this little bench at a flea market tag sale at the community church. It has a weave seat. I painted it, and had the pillow (bought for $4)...It is in the sunroom at this time.

This is my find for today. The shelves were missing, so I got this heavy side console for $30. I will later get some shelf replacements and put a faux finish on. Trying out some stuff sitting round for the moment to see how it looks.
This was an awesome find!!! It is a 1972 plaster cast from a Chicago company. It was this hideous off white with cheap looking gold highlights. I redid the faux finish, and it is now on my wall dressing up the area of light switches fireplace and fan wall gadgets.
I found these three bottom pieces from Southern Living in a shop for mere dollars, then found the top piece, and antiqued it with paint....The second pic shows the detail of the verdigris.
