I was wandering the aisles of one of my favorite stores and happened to see this bowl on a bottom shelf. I picked it up, noticing the fine crackling in the glaze. I turned it over and WOW! A Guernsey mixing bowl! Not a small one either, but the big guy! Guernsey pottery was in business until 1925, and is mentioned in early cooking articles of the time. The brownware was created in the first decade. I have searched pretty hard, and was only able to find one small ramekin on the web. This is a great find!
