Oh! I love teapots, and I used to have a lot more, but over the years, they have been consigned to others, broken, sadly, or misplaced in moves. I have become enamored of these again, and especially after a recent trip to Ireland. After a quick scan in the shop, my eye was caught by the color on this pot, and after noticing the beautiful cracked glazing, I turned it over and saw Made in Japan. After a little searching I found this to be a pre-war piece, made in the English style The pattern is very nice, the colors are bright but have a nice "faded" patina. I love it and it makes a lovely cuppa also.
